Good morning my lovelies! My health is really being a problem for me at the moment, but I think it will cheer me up to blog about these beautiful new lipsticks 🙂
The new colours were released a couple of weeks ago, and when I saw the gorgeous pink nudes, I knew straight away that I was going to love them. I have Blended and Higher from the new release, and Date from the original collection. I just couldn’t resist that POW bright pink.
The packaging for these lipsticks is really gorgeous, shiny rose gold metal which looks and feels very high end. They’re definitely the kind of lippie you wouldn’t mind pulling out of your bag in public to re-apply. Actually they’d probably be thinking you had the high end “inspiration” for these beauties! I won’t go too much in to the big dupe debate right now, as it’s something I want to revisit in a different post, but they look fab.
Now the price is just so reasonable, at just £4.00 each. When I showed them to my Mum, she thought they were beautiful and would be £15.00 to £20.00 each. She was so surprised when I told her actual price for them.
The formula on these is absolutely beautiful, very creamy and they glide across the lips beautifully. I didn’t find they were drying at all, and felt very comfortable on the lips. They have a very light vanilla scent which I quite like, and it reminds me of something else that I can’t quite put my finger on. If you know what it is, please let me know! Due to the creamy formula you will find they transfer, so be careful with that. However they have just released some renaissance lipliners that will help with that. They only have a few shades in the liner for now, but there is allot of buzz and hype around them, so my guess is there’ll be more on the way soon.
Left to right Higher, Blended, Date
All in all, the Renaissance lipsticks are a big hit in my eyes. I just know I’ll get lots of wear out of them, and Higher is actually in my handbag right now. I totally recommend any if these shades, and I know I’ll be purchasing more from this line.
