Left In Waiting, Right The Rebellion

Hello my lovelies and welcome back to my small little corner of the internet! I hope you had a fantastic weekend and are starting this week on a positive note. I’m going to do my best to keep positive this week, because I feel like I’ve been getting too down lately. It’s nearly been a year since I lost one of the closest people to me, and feeling very upset about the anniversary coming up.

But for now, let’s get on to these lovely ladies. They are the Makeup Revolution Metallic Retro Luxe Lip Kits. These are the colours that really appealed to me, and I think I’m in love!

As with allot of the Make up Revolution products, these are said to be dupes, and the concept of them is the same as the Kylie Jenner Lip Kits. You get both a lipliner and a complementing liquid lipstick. I don’t have the Kylie Jenner ones, so I won’t be comparing, but sooooo many bloggers have said they are highly comparable.

In Waiting

I love a pink lip, so this is definitely right up my alley. The lipliner is a soft bubblegum pink, with a very pretty silver sheen to it. Lovely creamy texture, with absolutely zero drag on the lips. The lipstick itself is quite a bit paler, but has a gorgeous silver metallic sheen to it and looks amazing.

The Rebellion

This is The Rebellion, and I can honestly say that I have nothing similar to her in my collection. It’s always nice to get something unique, and I’m very happy to have her join the graceful lipstick fam! The liner is a deep grey toned plum purple colour with the metallic sheen. Very creamy just as In Waiting is. The lipstick itself is again quite a bit lighter and allot of the silver metallic sheen shines through with this one. It is so beautiful, and I can’t wait to take her for a proper test run on a night out!

Let’s talk about the formula of these as I was confused after seeing some bad reviews. There was a previous collection from early in 2017 where the liners were hard, and the lipsticks were really thick, sticky and drying. The formula for these is definitely not thick or sticky, and I find them very comfortable. When you are looking for the lip kits with the new smooth formula, make sure the bottom lip is being bitten. Part of me thinks that’s a nod to Mr.Grey… But let’s not go there.

All in all I really recommend these beauties as they are such good value for money! The lipliner gives you 1g of product and the liquid lipstick is 5.5ml of product, and it’s just a tiny £6.00 for the kit with both. There are a variety of options for colours and finishes in the new formula, so I’m sure you’ll be able to find something to your liking.

If you want to go ahead and pick them up you can get them at online, or Superdrug in store or online in the UK. For our lovelies over the pond in the US they are now stocked in Ulta and on their website too. I believe they also ship worldwide to most countries if you aren’t in either of those.

Thanks allot for reading, I hope you enjoyed it. I have to say that I’m absolutely loving getting back in to my blogging and interacting with everyone on social media and blogs. It’s really helping me to try and get back to some sort of normal after all of the awful tragedy in the past year. Every comment, like and kind words really make a difference. That’s all from me for now folks, byeeeeeee xx

I like The Rebellion, it’s more of the shade range I like. Not sure if it’s the metallic but they look sheer. Are the lipsticks sheer or do you find them buildable?
