Hiya my lovelies! The weekend is over, so is the snow and it’s back to normal now. I hope you are having a good Monday, and looking forward to a lovely week ahead.
The lovely lady we are talking about today is of course the Makeup Revolution Ingot Highlighter, in Rose Gold. Let’s just take a minute to look at the gorgeous colour, she is a beauty!
The packaging is a smaller version of their classic eye palette packaging. You have a sturdy shiny black plastic base, and a clear plastic lid with the gold lettering on. The special little touch I really like, is having bank of revolution rose gold, written in the actual product. It gives her a feeling of being higher end.
One of the best things about this about this beauty? You are getting your hot little hands, on a whopping 12g of product, for just £6.00. So once again we’re seeing amazing quality for a teeny tiny price for what you are getting.
I’m finding all of the palette’s from the brand to be very sturdy, stay tightly shut, and this one is no different. There’s nothing worse than the lid coming open in your makeup bag, and covering everything in shimmery highlight! Am I right?
The colour appears a gorgeous deeper rose gold in the pan, but when applied to the skin she is a pretty paler pink with a fantastic POW sheen. The formula is very soft, smooth, and picks up on my Real Techniques brush beautifully. The pigmentation is really nice, but beware because a little goes a long way!
Even when I was swatching, I just swiped my finger in the pan once, and I had more than enough product on there to get the swatch on the left and extra to blend out on the right too!
I’m seeing allot of bloggers and Youtuber’s saying that if you are pale, you can’t get away with pink highlighter. Well to be honest I love it on me and I’m literally the palest shade in every foundation. What do you think? Are you as English Rose pale as me, and rock a pink highlight?
Makeup Revolution seem to just be blowing everything else out of the water with their products lately! I know I do keep posting about them, but they are really making a big impact on me, for what we’re getting at the price point. This post isn’t sponsored, I’m just really enjoying the brand, and the fact they are cruelty free makes me and so many others very happy!
Do you have any recommendations for budget brands that give Makeup Revolution a run for their money? I’m always on the lookout for amazing products, that are as cheap as chips!
Well that’s all from me for now folks, let me know what you think in the comments below. Byeeeeeee xx
