Hiya my lovelies, I hope you had a good weekend and are kicking this week off well. Sorry for the lack of responses over the weekend, but it was a very hard time for me. Things went as well as can be expected, with many lovely stories but plenty of tears.
I won’t go into all of the details, but in the evening a large group of friends gathered together to toast and remember the good times. There’s no real way to explain how I feel, but I think it was a fitting way for us to honour the amazing man he was.
I want to say a big thank you for all the love and best wishes you all sent, it was really touching. I really do appreciate it, and can’t thank you enough.
But today is a new day, so back to what we’re all here for, the makeup. Today we have the very pretty Makeup Revolution, Flawless Foils. I was really excited for these, as I’m all for something quick and easy. As you know, my Fibromyalgia and Crohn’s Disease make mornings a chore, and anything easy to apply is definitely a win!
The outer packaging is a beautiful shiny rose gold, which Makeup Revolution are going with allot. I’m quite a lover of this, so very pleased to see. As for the main packaging, they’ve gone very simple but sleek, with a black round pot, clear lid and rose gold writing. I find this makes choosing your product easier as you can see it through the lid. To make the colour pop even more, there’s an intensifying primer included with each shadow, this comes in a clear plastic bottle with black lid.
Super easy to use, just use one drop of the primer and gently swirl in the top of the pan to prepare. The formula is an interesting texture, and when you touch it with your finger, has a sort of squishy feeling. I used my finger to apply, which is a great way to pack on that metallic goodness. The smoothness in applying is a lovely surprise, no drag on the lid and the deeper colours go on with good pigmentation.
As I suspected, this was nice and easy to apply, so will be excellent for when I’m having a bad morning. When my hands are too bad to grip even a thick handled brush, this is going to be a great way for me to still add some colour to my lids.
Unicorn Foil is a stunning bright white, which shifts to a beautiful pale lilac. This is less pigmented than the others, but still a stunning shade. I love that you can use this one in a variety of ways – your inner corner of the lid, brow bone, top of the cheek bones, centre of the nose or centre of your top lip, to give you a beautiful pout.
Rival is the second Flawless Foil I have to show you, and she’s a real beauty! Now this is what confused me when I first saw the swatches for these, because she’s a rose gold, but called Rival when there is another colour in the collection called Rose Gold, but isn’t! So here we have it, this is just one swipe and she’s a pigmented little lady. If you love rose gold as much as I do, you wil LOVE this.
This is Rose Gold which as I said before, is actually not rose gold! She’s what I would describe as a slightly orange leaning burgundy with beautiful gold metallic shimmer. Very pretty, but definitely not a true rose gold. Again, the pigmentation is crazy for this one and will be great for many different looks.
I wore both the Unicorn Foil and Rival Saturday, and there was allot of crying! I applied them at 10:00am and I’m not kidding you when I say, they lasted right the way through, including the evening.
These shadows are just beautiful, and for the pigmentation and staying power, I think we are getting a great product for £5.00. The shadow pan has 2g of shadow, plus 2ml of your intensifying primer
So what do we think? Do you have any of these? Which ones are your favourites, or do you want? Well that’s all from me for now folks! Byeeeeeee xx
