Hiya my lovelies, I hope your Tuesday is going well. Yesterday’s post was a bit different, and I’m really pleased to be working on the rest of the series with Belles Bunnies. I know she’s got a great Q&A coming up for us, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
So you can probably guess I’m obviously going to be talking about products from a cruelty free brand. As you can see from the title, they are the brand spanking new Nudes Collection. Another release from my current favourites (as if you didn’t already know!) Makeup Revolution.
Packaging wise, they are a regular gloss tube with clear body and a nude lid. The writing is in that gorgeous rose gold which I love, and the nude colour also ties in with the rest of the current releases.
Boudoir is a deep dusty red toned pink. On me she’s not a nude at all, but I’m not mad as it’s a really interesting colour, that I haven’t really got in my collection.
Bare All is a warm brown shade with tan undertones, and will be really flattering for most skin tones. Anyone would love this, she’s a great all rounder.
Skinny Dip is by far my favourite in the collection. I could wear these gorgeous mauve lilacs every day. She’s a total stunner and another shade most people will love.
Formula wise, they go on nice and smooth and have just the slightest stickiness to them. Nice and comfortable on the lips, and easy to apply. You get a pretty decent semi-opaque finish, and are a perfect pairing with the Renaissance Lipliners. Although saying that, I’d happily wear them on their own.
Makeup Revolution, Nudes Collection, Metallics.
Lingerie is a pale yellow gold, and she is absolutely stunning over a red lipstick. I know it’s a long way off, but I can definitely see me rocking that combo over the festive season! Before you say it, I know I shouldn’t be saying the “F” word this early on in the year…
Bustier is a very pretty, pale pink metallic with a very silvery finish. I used this over my Renaissance lipstick in Prime and she was beautiful.
The formula on the Metallics is very thin, but still pigmented. When they dry down, you get a matte finish. I’ll be completely honest, I don’t like them on their own, I find they are quite dry and sit in the lines of my lips. However, when I apply them over a lipstick, they do give a pretty effect. If you want the metallic look without laying a lipstick down first, I would recommend the Retro Luxe Lip Kits with that finish (click for my swatches).
In each tube of the Nude Collection line, you are getting a gorgeous 2.2g of product for just £3.00, which is a massive bargain if you ask me.
If you haven’t already heard, Tam Beauty have rebranded, and are now Revolution Beauty. There’s really no difference, it’s literally just a name change. I can see they’ve probably done that so people know they are the official company to buy your Makeup Revolution products from.
So what do you think? Have you got any of the Nudes Collection? Which ones do you fancy? I know that I’m really looking forward to seeing their new line of Revolution Pro which launches on 28th March, what about you? I’m hoping we’ll see some more product demos from the Makeup Revolution Team on YouTube, fingers crossed for that.
But that’s all from me for now folks, I hope you have a great evening and I see you somewhere on social media. If not, I’ll be back tomorrow with another post tomorrow, byeeeeeee xx
