Hiya my lovelies, and welcome to the March Favourites. I saw one of my online friends post a picture saying that we are a quarter of the way through the year already! It’s kind of scary when you think of it like that, and I know as each year passes the time seems to go more and more quickly. Does this mean I’m getting old?! Actually, don’t answer that…
I’m going to kick things off with skincare, as you know taking care of your skin is so important. After all, you have to give your makeup the perfect base, right? First up is the Lush Bunny Moon Jelly Mask.
The Lush Bunny Moon Jelly Mask is my latest purchase from this line, and she swiftly made her way in to my weekly routine. A very different texture from your usual masks, but I really love this unusual formula. I’ve always been a lover of honey, and really enjoy it in my skincare products.
Here you can see, she has a rather thin texture when applied to the skin, but also very hydrating and makes your skin feel silky smooth and revived when removed. Please excuse the messy bun and pj’s!
For removing my makeup, I have been using this pretty much every night. The Revolution Pro Cleansing Water is a nice gentle clear remover with added vitamins as well as being alcohol free. I find it is a nice quick way to remove my makeup and gentle enough on the eyes.
Freedom Pro Studio Radiance Tonic is the most fantastic glycolic toner. I use it every morning and night, and it’s making such a difference to the texture of my skin. This is a dupe for the Pixi Glow Tonic, but at only £6.00 a bottle compared to £18.00, which the Pixi will set you back. I’m a bit worried as I know they are phasing out the Freedom products with the re-branding, but keeping my fingers crossed they will be keeping this little gem. Please Revolution Makeup, please, please, please keep her!
The Ordinary High Spreadability Primer seems to work very well with every foundation I’ve tried her with. She smoothes on effortlessly, and you only need to use a few drops to cover your entire face. I definitely recommend this, and the price is amazing for what seems like a really high end product. The review of the Coverage Foundation with her is coming up, so I will add a link here when that’s up and ready.
Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation. This beauty has been firmly in my every day makeup bag, since the day she arrived! The product has been so hyped for a while now, and I’m pleased to say, she doesn’t disappoint. Creamy, easy blending formula with a stunning radiant finish. What more could you ask for? For my full review including swatches and comparison to The Ordinary Foundation, go check it out here.
I can’t believe the quality of these Primark Blushes. I love the matte ones as classic blushes, and the shimmer ones to highlight. Who says you have to spend a packet on blush?
Revolution Renaissance Illuminate, in Radiant Rose. I know I only got her half way through March, but my goodness, I don’t think there’s been a day gone past since, when I haven’t added some of this gleaming beauty to my look. If you want to see my swatches and review, go take a look at the Radiant Rose Post here.
For liquid highlighter, I’ve been loving Revolution Ethereal. Now this is a stunner of a pinky lilac highlight, seriously smooth, glowy and delicious. If you don’t have her in your collection, I suggest you change that. Looooove!
The Primark PS Lipliners are so impressive considering the price, and I’ve been pairing them with my pink lipsticks, mostly. I’m looking forward to their K-Pop collection that’s coming up, so expect to see a haul soon.
Revolution Renaissance Lipsticks This will come as no shock, as I definitely talk about these lovely lippies enough! Having to change up my collection, has been considerably easier when you have this kind of quality for £4.00 a pop. I haven’t tried one yet, that I don’t like. It’s hard to say that I’ve been favouring one over another, but every time I go to my lipstick box, (I’m still in my studio flat) I’m instantly lured in by the gold packaging.
The Revolution Nudes Collection, in Skinny Dip has got to be one of my favourite glosses of all time. She’s cheap as chips at just £3.00 per tube and such a wearable shade for all skin tones. For my swatches and first impressions of her and others from the same line, go take a look here.
I Heart Revolution 24K Chocolate Palette is such a beautiful and versatile palette, and I just adore her! Satellite is also a great shade for lining, and she’s so pigmented too. Go and check out my swatches and review here.
Another great eye palette I’ve been loving is this I Heart Revolution No Photo’s Please. I got her in the sale for just £1.50, But even full price at £4.99 still a bargain. If you want to see the swatches, along with my other goodies I got from the brand, go check them out in my I Heart Revolution Haul here.
As you know, I suffer with Fibromyalgia which effects my grip massovely. This Revolution 01 Blend and Buff Flex brush has been a big help as I can bend it any way I want to. If you suffer with painful hands, I totally recommend giving the Flex and Go brushes a try.
Revolution Flawless Foils cream eyeshadows are so pretty! My favourites have to be Rebound and Rival. They are so incredibly pigmented, creamy and don’t budge until you remove them. I’ve got one in my upcoming giveaway, so keep your eyes peeled for that!
I love a good setting spray, and this month I’ve been favouring the I Heart Revolutionone. Great for setting my makeup and taking away that powdery look you can sometimes get if you overdo it.
So as you can see it’s been a great month for my beauty collection! What have you been loving in March? Let me know in the comments below and of course you are welcome to leave me a link to your favourites to take a look.
As you know I’m currently on my quest to change my entire collection to all cruelty free beauty, so if you have any recommendations for me, please let me know. But for now, it’s time for me to say byeeeeeee xx
