Sunday Skincare – Lush Bunny Moon Jelly Face mask

Lush Jelly Mask, Bunny Moon.

Hiya my lovelies! Happy Sunday, I hope you are doing well, and the weekend has been a good one for you. My health is still being a bit of a devil, and holding me back from doing things with my daughter, but I’m trying to keep my chin up and not dwell on it too much. Today we’ve had some quality snuggle time with Netflix, and then she visited her Great Nanny and Grandad.

Today we have the Lush Jelly Face Mask, in Bunny Moon to talk about. You will have already seen her in the recent post on Friday, and if you didn’t you can go ahead and check out my March Favourites post here.

The packaging is a change to the regular black pots the face masks usually come in, these are more shallow and clear. You’ll be pleased to know that they are also included in their packaging returns scheme. This is great news for me, as I use allot of their amazing skincare.

With this shimmery lady you are getting a wobbly, but lovely 60g of product for just £6.95, which I think is a great price for such a luxurious and high end feeling product. I manage about 8 – 10 uses from these jelly masks, so we are only talking just shy of £0.70 per use, give or take. I don’t know about you, but I call that a bargain!

The product itself is a creamy colour with a beautiful shimmering gold throughout. The texture is a rather solid jelly type, which I quite like, and find fun to apply.

In preperarion for the mask, give your face a good cleanse. I recommend Lush Aqua Marina, as she’s my go-to. To use, you simply take a pinch of the product with dry hands, and rub between your fingers until you have a paste like consistency. Next you slide the product over the face, using circular motions, being careful to avoid your delicate eye area. I usually use the above size portion of the mask, for reference. Once you’ve applied, leave her to work her magic for five to ten minutes before rinsing off with warm water and a face cloth.

Ingredients wise we are getting some great calming chamomile, marigold petal infusion, rose oil, and the antiseptic properties of honey.

One of my favourite things about Bunny Moon, is the fact she doesn’t make your face tight or hard! You can actually move your face normally, without worrying about her cracking up on you.

When removing, I notice an instant change in the softness and hydration of my face. It honestly feels like I’ve been to the spa and feel truly pampered.

My daughter loves to get in on the action, and whenever I use a face mask, she wants one too. She’s very lucky not to have sensitive skin, but I always test a small amount behind her ear first before letting her put something new all over her face (Just in case anyone was worried about her!). In fact, it’s a nice little Mummy and Daughter time to spend together on a Sunday. As you are reading this, it wouldn’t surprise me if we were playing with a bath filled with bubble bar bubbles!

You can purchase Lush products on their website here, but I personally prefer to shop in store as I love the service. It’s catered completely to you, your skin and your personality. My daughter absolutely adores it in store, to the point she even had her birthday party there a couple of weeks ago. In fact I’m thinking of sharing a post about it, as a lot of people don’t seem to know that they offer them.

Well that about wraps it up for my review on Bunny Moon, I think she’s worth absolutely every penny and totally recommend , especially if you suffer with dry skin like me. I would love to know if you have any Lush recommendations, as I’m always on the lookout for trying new things from them.

But for now the time has come for me to say thank you for reading, and enjoy the rest of your day/evening. I hope you get to have some me time, and if you do a pampering post, please feel free to leave a link in the comments so I can go and check it out. But it’s byeeeeeee from me, for now xx

this sounds amazing – I think you’ve tempted me into buying my first jelly mask haha! I normally love just the original lush masks but when they start cracking on your face I can make quite a mess haha! so this sounds like a perfect alternative. xx
