Getting Up Close and Personal With Primark’s K-Pop Collection

Primark K-Pop Collection

Hiya my lovelies, I hope you are enjoying your Monday, and having a great start to the week. I’ve been nursing my little lady who is currently covered in chickenpox, but at least I can hold my phone for more than a couple of minutes without her objecting. Her favourite thing about having chickenpox is being able to eat “yummy, scrummy delicious icecream” repeatedly through the day without being told off!

But let’s get down to talking about the makeup, and today I have the rather fun K-Pop Collection from Primark for you. I’ve always been intrigued by Korean makeup as I know it’s meant to be fantastic, but for some reason I thought it was particularly pricey. Thankfully Primark have come up trumps with their newest offering, and I am super excited to share it with you!

Primark K-Pop, Sugar Rush Eyeshadow Palette

So here is the first product I have for you, the K-Pop Sugar Rush Eyeshadow Palette £4.00. For a start I love he fact she has a cherry scent (mmmm)but to be honest I thought it was a tad cutesy, and would be pretty washed out. Although how cute is that face on the centre shadow? I love the look of her, but what about the quality of the shadow?

Primark K-Pop, Sugar Rush Palette top row swatches

Here’s the top row, and I have to tell you they are pretty nice soft shadows. Of course you do get a little fall out, but seriously, this palette is £4.00 So I’m going to forgive it for that.

Primark K-Pop, Sugar Rush Eyshadow Palette middle row

This row is a mixed bag for me, as I really like the first peach shade and it’s nice to work with. On the other hand, the next two are a bit powdery and not so easy to work with. You can build the colour up in the end, but it took allot of effort and that was with my finger.

Primark K-Pop, Sugar Rush Eyeshadow Palette bottom row

The bottom row is a mixed bag again, this time I like the left and middle shades, but the yellow was again, powdery, somewhat glittery and hard to build up. Honestly, I’m not too bothered by this, as I’m not a massive fan of yellow shadows anyway. No biggie, and all in all, this is a good palette for the price. Scratch that, a great palette.

K-Pop Sweet cheeks Blush and Highlight Palette

Next up from the collection is the K-Pop Sweet Cheeks Blush and Highlight Palette £4.00. I’m going to tell you straight off the bat, I’m a real pale English Rose and even I can’t wear these as blush. But I can tell you, it’s a beautiful highlight palette.

As you can see from the swatches, they are really pretty, but there really isn’t a blush here. Again, I’m not mad because we’re getting a good amount of gorgeous product for only £4.00, so I would totally recommend!

Primark K-Pop Eye Candy Eyeliner Fairy Cake and Dream

Here we have the Eye Candy Eyeliners in Fairy Cake and Dreams £1.00. There was a couple of other colours, but there weren’t any of those shades which hadn’t been opened. It drives me up the wall that people open the products and put their grubby mitts all over them! I was pleased to see that Primark have got wise to the problem and now have testers, but that doesn’t stop anyone, oh no. It doesn’t seem to matter that another ten people have already opened various packaging, they need to open yet another one too. Sorry I’ll get back down from my high horse now, before I hurt myself…

Primark K-Pop Eye Candy Eyeliners Dreams and Fairy Cake

These are nice creamy pencils, but they are incredibly pale. I’m glad I have them in my collection to play with, but I’m not sure how much use I’ll get from them as I tend to use dark liners. But let’s be honest, if you want something a bit different and fun to play with, £1.00 is a really decent price for them!

Primark K-Pop Jelly Belle Lipsticks Pigtails and Daisy Chain

These K-pop Jelly Belle Lipsticks £1.50 are right up my alley, and for the price I can’t complain. The packaging is cute, and I was interested to try a jelly lipstick! They have a really light, sweet scent to them that I really enjoy, but are they any good?

Primark K-Pop Jelly Belle Lipsticks Pig Tails and Daisy Chain

I wasn’t expecting Daisy Chain to be so sheer, but I guess the clue is in the name, Jelly. If you are going for a subtle look then she would be ok, but if not I prefer Pig Tails as she’s got a bit more pigmentation to her. Plus the colour of pigtails is one which would be great on a range of skin tones. The formula feels so moisturising, more like a lip balm, and the longevity isn’t great, but that’s never something that bothers me when it comes to lip products. Lets face it, I have enough to start my own shop, so I’m hardly going to run out any time soon!

Primark K-Pop Super Cheeky Cheek Tint Bubblegum

The K-Pop Super Cheeky Cheek Tint £2.50 is a really beautiful creamy texture blush, but I’ve also heard you can double them up as lip tints. This would make her ideal for travel if you are limited for space in your luggage.

Primark K-Pop Super Cheeky Cheek Tint Bubblegum

I love this Super Cheeky Cheek Tint and the colour is again, perfect for me. I think I might even prefer her for the lips! I think allot of people will enjoy her due to the beautiful colour, I hope she doesn’t dry out the lips though, as I do suffer with that.

Primark K-Pop Bubble Blush Pastel Pink

This is the K-Pop Bubble Blush in Pastel Pink £4.00 and believe it or not is my first ever cushion product! I know there have been allot of these types of products, but this one really took my eye.

Primark K-Pop Bubble Blush Pastel Pink Swatch

I had a feeling I was going to enjoy this one and I was right. No sweet scent to this one unfortunately, but look how pretty she is! This gorgeous blue toned pink is perfect for my pale skin, but they do offer several options so there’s something for if you aren’t super pale too.

Primark K-Pop Beamin’ Shimmer Powder

Here we have the last of my purchases, K-pop Beamin Shimmer Powder £4.00. This is probably not something I would have picked up if the summer wasn’t coming up, but it’s a pot of shimmer with a sponge top, which you dab on to your skin.

Primark K-Pop Beamin’ Shimmer Powder Swatch

Look what a gorgeous silver shimmer you get from her! This is built up to show how I want to wear her on my body throughout the summer, but you can go a bit lighter if you prefer that look. I’m off to Rome next month, and I’m sure she’ll get an outing then.

Primark Hand Cream

Hand Cream £1.00 each 30ml tube. Now I wasn’t sure if these were in the K-Pop Collection or not, as they are in this cute pastel packaging and were underneath the lipsticks, but don’t say K-Pop. But here they are anyway, and look how cute the packaging is! They each have their own sweet fruity scent, and have been nice and soothing on my particularly dry hands. I’ve only used them a handful of times, but I’m already noticing a difference, and my hands are feeling softer already.

So there you have it, I would say that Primark’s K-Pop Collection has some great products to be had, and at these prices won’t break the bank either. What do you think? Do you have anything from K-Pop? Are you planning on getting anything? If you want to see some of these products in action, go and check out my face of the day yesterday.

Thanks allot for reading and I’ll be back tomorrow with some more beauty for you. But for now, it’s time for me to say byeeeee xx

I’ve never heard of this brand before but I’m always tempted by Primark’s make up selection, they do some gorgeous bits and pieces and the prices are just amazing. I love the look of the Jelly lipsticks, especially as they have a balm element to them too. Fab review and beautiful pics, thank you! x

Yes it’s brand new, only came out in the past week or so I think my lovely. They have certainly upped their game with their makeup and beauty products. The lipsticks really are nice and nourishing, and for £1.50 are well worth it. I’m trying our some of their facemasks next, so I’m hoping the skincare is as good xx
